As a result of these changes all current enrolments with CTC Childcare Services will need to be formally renewed by 24 December 2015. If you wish to continue your child’s enrolment in 2016 your account must be paid in full, including 2 weeks in advance (as outlined in CTC Childcare Services’ Fee Policy); a new enrolment pack completed; and a current immunisation record provided. In order to get your preferred days of care please ensure all new enrolment packs are returned and fees are paid as soon as possible.

Introduction QKFS Plus Kindy Support

QKFS Plus Kindy Support is a new way to describe the Health Care Card subsidy under the Queensland Kindergarten Funding Scheme (QKFS).
QKFS Plus Kindy Support replaces the Health Care Card and multiple births subsidies and extends support to include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.  The subsidy rates remain unchanged.

To be eligible for QKFS Plus Kindy Support a family must either:

  • hold a current Health Care Card, Veterans Affairs Card or Australian Government Pension Concession card with automatic Health Care Card entitlements, OR
  • identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander (or have a child who does), OR
  • have three or more children, of the same age, enrolled in the same year.

As per current practice, QKFS Plus Kindy Support will be provided directly to services at the same rate as the previous Health Care Card subsidy. It is designed to help reduce out-of-pocket expenses for eligible families.
The QKFS Guidelines are being updated to reflect the new arrangements.
More information will shortly be available from the department’s website.
