Foster Carers Needed – Can you help?

We are looking for people to become foster carers who are willing and committed to making a positive and lasting difference to the lives of children in out of home care.  If you’ve got experience in fostering, worked with children or young people, or if you think that you may have the qualities we are looking for, then the role of a foster carer could be for you.

 

The following is an outline of the steps involved in becoming a Foster Carer

  • Receive information on becoming a carer
  • Attend an information session
  • Make a decision about becoming a carer
  • Attend pre-service training and assessment of training outcomes
  • Lodge an official application form
  • Undergo an assessment and checks - medical, criminal
  • Receive a certificate of approval
  • You are a certified Foster Carer for 12 months!
