Every child who has come through their doors has left a mark on their hearts. Some stayed for just a short while, others for longer, but each one was met with love, patience, and a safe space to heal.

“It’s incredible to see how much a child can change when they feel safe,” Mark reflects. “When you give them love, attention, and stability, they start to trust. They start to laugh again. That’s the best feeling in the world.”

Josie and Mark believe that anyone with time, love, and patience can make a difference. “You don’t have to be someone special to be a foster carer,” Josie explains. “You just need to be there for a child who needs you.”

Foster care isn’t always easy, but the rewards far outweigh the challenges. “Kids only get one childhood,” Josie says. “Being part of that, even for a short time, is something truly special. You get to see them grow, learn, and just be kids again.”
