Community Cabinet

Over the last 2 days our team had the opportunity to meet directly with key Queensland Government decision-makers to discuss the unique challenges facing our region and the importance of local, community-led solutions.

We appreciated the opportunity to speak with Premier David Crisafulli MP, Amanda Camm MP (Families), Sam O’Connor MP (Housing), David Janetzki MP (Treasurer), Laura Gerber MP (Youth Justice), and Dan Purdie MP (Police and Emergency Services), sharing local data, frontline insights, and the realities being experienced across our communities.
These conversations are incredibly important for regional organisations like ours, ensuring the voices, challenges and strengths of the South Burnett community are heard at a state level.
A big thank you to Deb Frecklington MP for bringing Community Cabinet to our region and creating the opportunity for genuine conversations around housing and homelessness, youth, community safety, family support, and regional service delivery.
It was both exciting and encouraging to see decision-makers on the ground, listening directly to local organisations and working towards practical solutions that reflect the needs of our communities.
