CTC Goes Purple for Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month

Throughout May, teams across South Burnett CTC proudly took part in the CTC Goes Purple Challenge to help raise awareness for Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month 2026.

From creative costumes and colourful props to team photos filled with personality and community spirit, staff across the organisation came together to show support for victim-survivors and help spark important conversations across our communities.

The challenge saw an incredible level of participation from teams across multiple services and locations, highlighting the passion and commitment staff bring to raising awareness around domestic and family violence prevention.

After much discussion β€” and a little admitted bias from CEO Jason Erbacher πŸ˜‚ β€” the official winners were announced:

πŸ₯‡ 1st Place – Corporate Team

The Corporate Team took out first place for their outstanding group effort, creativity, enthusiasm and use of props.

Special mention went to the purple umbrella, Gengar and the overall team energy that made their entry stand out.

πŸ₯ˆ 2nd Place – Youth & Homelessness Team

The Youth & Homelessness Team were recognised for their creative use of the butterfly mural backdrop and picnic blanket theme, delivering a colourful and meaningful entry.

A huge thank you to every team member who participated, submitted photos and helped bring awareness to this important issue throughout May.

Together, we continue to stand in purple to show support, raise awareness and help create safer communities across the South Burnett πŸ’œ
