LOCAL BUILDER SECURES TENDER FOR YOUTH PARK PROJECT: CONSTRUCTION TO COMMENCE OCTOBER 2025

This project received 50/50 funding from the Australian Government’s – Growing Regions Program and CTC, with both parties contributing $1.98 million. This project is also proudly supported by the Tarong Community Partnership Fund.

We extend our sincere thanks to our funders for recognising the importance of creating safe, inclusive, and purpose-built spaces for our region’s young people.

The appointment of Favier Building Industries not only highlights the talent and capability of local businesses, but also ensures that the economic benefits remain in our community, with opportunities for local contractors and suppliers to be engaged throughout the build.

South Burnett CTC CEO Jason Erbacher said, “We are proud to partner with a trusted local company for this project. This is more than just a construction project – it’s an investment in our people, our economy, and our community’s future.”

The Youth Park Precinct will offer more than just new buildings – it will create a welcoming, purpose-built space that reflects the needs of our community. Thoughtfully designed with privacy, dignity, and inclusivity in mind, the new precinct will provide community members with safe spaces to access support, build confidence, and belong. It will also serve the wider community, offering flexible areas for programs, events, and connection – fostering a stronger, more supported South Burnett.

This project embodies CTC’s commitment to giving back to the community, creating spaces that reflect local needs and values, while also stimulating local job creation and regional growth.

As a proud Kingaroy-based building company, we are honoured to be selected as the local contractor for this community-driven youth park project — a wonderful initiative that will create safe, inspiring spaces for those in need. We’re committed to delivering quality construction that reflects the pride and values of the South Burnett region, and we look forward to working closely with local stakeholders to bring their vision to life”, said Gary Favier, Director of Favier Building Industries.

More information about the Youth Park Precinct Project will be shared as construction progresses.
