South Burnett CTC joins statewide Raising Queensland campaign
South Burnett CTC is proud to be a founding partner of the Raising Queensland campaign, led by the Queensland Council of Social Service (QCOSS).
The campaign brings together organisations across the state to advocate for better outcomes for children, families and communities particularly those experiencing disadvantage.
Right now, many Queensland families are facing increasing pressure from the rising cost of living, housing challenges and limited access to essential services. These pressures are being felt strongly in regional communities like the South Burnett.
The Raising Queensland campaign calls for a coordinated, whole-of-government approach to ensure children and families have access to the support they need to thrive – including housing, health, education and community services.
Recent data highlights the scale of the challenge:
61% of parents are struggling with day-to-day costs
14% of parents have run out of food in the past 12 months
Over 10,500 families are on the social housing waitlist
The number of children in residential care has increased significantly in recent years
South Burnett CTC is committed to working alongside partners across Queensland to raise awareness, advocate for change and support stronger outcomes for local families.
We encourage our community to learn more about the campaign and how to get involved.
