South Burnett Youth Park Precinct Redevelopment Underway

South Burnett CTC (CTC) has commenced works to further enhance the Youth Park Precinct and surrounding community services hub in Kingaroy.

South Burnett CTC (CTC) has commenced works to further enhance the Youth Park Precinct and surrounding community services hub in Kingaroy.

As part of this redevelopment, the large undercover shed located beside the Youth Park is being fenced off and removed. The structure will be relocated below the car park next to the skate park, creating a more practical and welcoming space for young people and the community.

Throughout this process, CTC services will continue to operate as normal, with programs and activities running as scheduled. Access to services will also remain open, with only minor adjustments to parking expected during the works.

CTC CEO Jason Erbacher said the redevelopment is an exciting step forward in CTC’s commitment to providing services in a safe, supportive and dignified way.

“This project is about creating spaces that are more inviting, private and fit-for-purpose, so that community members feel comfortable accessing the support they need when they need it. We’re investing in fit-for-purpose facilities to create an improved experience for everyone who uses the precinct.”

The Youth Park Precinct is home to a wide range of programs and community services, supporting hundreds of people every year. The redevelopment will ensure the space reflects the needs of the community while strengthening connections for young people and families across the South Burnett.

The Kingaroy Youth Park Redevelopment: Stage 1 is equally funded by the Australian Government’s Growing Regions Program and CTC, with each committing $1.98 million.
