Get Set For Work

About

Get Set for Work is a free program supporting young people aged 15 to 19 who are disengaged from education and employment. We help participants build confidence, gain job readiness skills, and work towards a brighter future.

Through the program, young people can:

  • Attain a Certificate II qualification
  • Complete short course training
  • Develop essential work and life skills
  • Get support to return to school, enrol in TAFE or university, or secure employment, apprenticeships, or traineeships

Eligibility

To be eligible, participants must be:

  • 15 to 19 years old
  • Not attending school
  • Working less than 15 hours per week

This voluntary program runs from our Nanango Neighbourhood Centre for a minimum of 15 hours per week. While it is not an approved Centrelink activity, it provides valuable opportunities for young people looking to re-engage with education or employment.
