Stand Up Speak Out

30th November 2015

Last week as part of White Ribbon Day, CTC Youth & Family Services (Connections) with the help of Creative Tracks and financial support from Stanwell launched an original song/video clip “Stand up speak out” featuring members of the Cherbourg Community to raise awareness of Domestic and Family Violence. The song will be played on US Mob FM.

Safety For Me app Just Released!!

CTC Youth & Family Services has worked closely with CQ University to develop a safety planning app for children - 'Safety For Me'. CLICK HERE to use the app.

Community Christmas Lunch 2015

26th November 2015

The South Burnett Community Christmas Lunch is on again this year. First initiated by Anne Martindale of southburnett.com.au, South Burnett CTC and the Salvation Army, the Community Christmas Lunch has developed into an annual affair that offers a wonderful Christmas lunch to anybody unable to do so at home and is also a fantastic day of sharing, laughter and hope for volunteers and attendees alike.

Doors open 11:30am Christmas morning at the Kingaroy Senior Citizens Centre. Seating is limited so it is important to make a booking by phoning 07 4162 9000.

If you would like to volunteer your time from 3:oopm on the 24 December or a morning or afternoon on 25 December phone 07 4162 9000.

Community Work Skills Traineeships

3rd November 2015

CTC is hosting a Community Work Skills Traineeship Information Session and Interviews at 10am on Friday 13 November 2015 at 7 Bramston Lane, Wondai.

 

 

What is Community Work Skills Traineeships?

  • Open to all age groups
  • 18 weeks paid traineeship
  • Participants gain a Certificate 1 in Construction, white card, First Aid , ACDC and chainsaw tickets
  • Intensive job search training and support
  • Participants completing this program will not only gain qualifications but also the work experience and skills to assist them in gaining future employment
